Talk: online discussion lists and forums
•
Many blogs also have 'comment' facilities
– the best have vibrant discussions. Some salons
or communities/groups have thriving forums too.
Why not perk up any flagging groups by sending in a topical
or controversial post! ; -)
Adult
Development
Promoting the field of lifespan and adult developmental psychology.
Contributors include Integral Institute founder member Susanne
Cook-Greuter, Michael Commons, Herb Koplowitz and Michael
Basseches (ie leading researchers who have pioneered the study
of later and more complex stages of adult maturation).
Adult
Development and Terrorism
Moderated
by Michael Commons.
Alex
Grey
'Art and Spirit' discussion forums on site of this
integral-orientated US artist, recommended by Wilber.
Habermas
"...as text, influence, adversary, exemplar." Leading
philosopher and sociologist Jürgen Habermas is
a major influence on Ken Wilber’s integral model ("I
consider Habermas the world's greatest living philosopher,"
says Ken). Especially Habermas’ book Moral Consciousness
and Communicative Action.
HeartMind
Community Forum
A forum
for Integral Visioning and 'post-Wilberian' discussion. Which
I guess sounds more cutting-edge than non-Wilberian ;-)
Integral
Institute pod (at
Zaadz)
“Our aim is to provide a space for broad discussion
of second tier living, loving and learning”.
This has emerged as a major venue for integral discussion.
Requires (free) membership to post.
Integral
Leadership and Org. Development (integral-lod)
'A community of people practicing leadership and
organizational development informed by integral theory.'
Integral
Multiplex
– Community
Integral University Forums, AQAL Journal
Forums, regional/local spaces, Holons newsletter
discussion, Integral Naked Forums, Integral Spiritual Center
Forums. Subscription needed to post, though not just to read.
(Moderation problems prompted some to move over to Zaadz’s
Integral forums instead).
Integral
Naked Forum
Discussion forum of Ken Wilber's Integral Naked interviews
etc site. Subscription needed to post, though not just to
read. (Now hosted alongside various Integral Multiplex forums).
Integral-people
An email list of participants in the integral studies (Wilber)
discussion group that meets at California Institute of Integral
Studies in San Francisco.
Integral
Transformative Practice
An e-group for ITP.
Integral
Women
A new e-group formed by some of the women members of the London
Integral Circle: ‘a woman only meeting and connecting
space’... ‘not intended to be instead of or to
be in competition with but to complement our cherished mixed
spaces’.
Ken
Wilber Evolucion
Spanish group.
London
Integral Circle (was Politics + Spirit)
Set up to support the real-world group/salon based
in London – though open to all who are interested in
integral discussion. Moderated (326 members - so we must be
doing something right).
One
Taste
"A discussion forum for exploration of ideas and practices
that supports the working theory of evolution of human consciousness
and acknowledges conscious awareness as a culminating endowment
of enlightenment."
Perry
Network
On the pioneering adult development model of Bill
Perry, author of Forms
of Intellectual and Ethical Development in the College Years:
A Scheme, and a key influence on Integral Institute
founder member Prof. Robert Kegan, author of In
Over Our Heads: the mental demands of modern life.
Post-conventional
Politics
Discussion and development of integral approaches to politics.
Now perhaps more aligned with critical 'post-Wilberians'?
Posters including Don Beck (even Ken Wilber), plus the founding
moderators Michael Ostrolenk and Greg Wilpert seem to have
pretty much moved away... [Ask the Moderators to be invited].
Politics
and Spirit Network
Influenced by Integral Institute member Rabbi Michael Lerner
– whose progressive political approach is not yet fully
Integral, according to Wilber, but nonetheless moves the spotlight
partly back to issues of meaning, values, morals and spirituality
that have long been downplayed by the Left and progressives
in general. (More of a progressive/Left list than integral.)
Proyecto
Integral
Spanish Integral e-group.
Spiral
Dynamics Unaligned
A group that formed to try to get beyond the Beck vs Cowan
antipathy that split the original Spiral Dynamics e-list.
Now largely silent.
Beck
and Cowan are co-authors of Spiral
Dynamics: mastering values, leadership and change.
Spiral
Dynamics
The original Spiral Dynamics discussion list. Lots of SD insights
from Don Beck and others (read the archives). Went through
a more integral (Wilber-influenced) phase, but now returned
to a more Clare Graves-focused mode, with Chris Cowan back
at the the helm (and Beck driven out) – so perhaps best
nowadays to downplay your interest in Wilber, integral approaches
or 'Second Tier', which may well be viewed as... arrogant,
elitist, or mere fantasy. ; -)
Spiral
Dynamics Integral
The formation of this moderated, integral-orientated e-group
by Dr. Don Beck became inevitable after the original Spiral
Dynamics e-list became highly 'toxic' due to lack of any activity,
by then-absent moderator Chris Cowan, to stop the unremitting
personal attacks on Don Beck and other posters by one or two
of the Cowan-orientated regulars. Interested in applying the
SD developmental model across society. Moderated.
UK
iNext
‘Integral Next: the next generation.’
A group ‘for the younger and fresher faced members of
the UK Kosmos to discuss and embody the work of Ken Wilber
and other integral approaches... Rock on in kids!’
‘This
group is a baby-step; a raft riding the growing tidal wave
of Integral. It is a meeting place for the young and the young
at heart to meet, inspire and grow. Lets gather around the
table, drink to each other's futures and sooth our integral
loneliness.’
So hip that they wouldn’t let me join their
Google group ;-)
Ken
Wilber - Theory of Everything
(now gone?)
Read the transcript of The Theory of Everything Conference,
the online discussion with Ken Wilber that ran from September
15, 2000 through September 17, 2000. The conference transcripts
are "Read-Only". They are open for all to read,
but no new messages can be posted here.
Ken
Wilber Forum
A once veryactive and unmoderated Yahoo e-group.
Ken

"Share your experiences and comments about the works
of Ken Wilber in the open discussion. This forum allows anonymous
posting (no login required), however we do recommend you create
an account so you can take advantage of all the features in
this board." Hosted by Wilber's publisher, Shambhala.
World
of Ken Wilber Forum
Discussion site connected to Frank Visser's "Integral
World" site (which was originally called ‘World
of Ken Wilber’) – now hosted by Lightmind Forums.
Transpersonal
Psychology
"Discussion of Transpersonal Psychology and Archetypal
Psychology by teachers and laymen alike".
